Eco-friendly Re-usable Cleaning Cloths

March 5 by Kaley

We used to go through so many paper towels at our house. We feel much better about using these reusable kits and the kiddos had a great time making them with me - super simple.

I love the convenience of the disinfecting wipes that come in the nice little packages. But I don't like the chemicals that come in them, the waste that they produce, or the cost. Especially when my little ones are using them. Thankfully, the DIY versions are super easy to make and may even encourage the kids to help with the clean up. … [Read more...]

POYEL: Free Closet Sorting Printables

February 16 by MJ at Pars Caeli

Free printables: clothing orgainzation labels - keeping the "too big" and "too small" baskets in each of my kids' closets and the donate/consign/keep in our laundry room for easy access.

You guys went so crazy over this idea to get the kids to put away their own clothes, that we came up with another Project Organize Your ENTIRE Life idea aimed at getting the kids (and the hubby) to do even more to get those closets sorted. And, once again, this one comes with a free printable to help you do it! Here's MJ with the details... Maybe it's the new year or the winter snows, but my children are all going through growth spurts right now. Their drawers and closets contain a lot … [Read more...]

Our Fail-Proof 3 Step Plan for Saving Kid Art & School Projects

September 1 by Julee

A fail-proof 3 part plan for how to handle ALL THAT artwork and school papers!

My kiddos headed back to school last week, and I know it won't be long before they start coming home with all sorts of papers, projects and pictures. Last year, I struggled quite a bit with deciding what to keep and where to keep it. This year, I'm starting with a plan. My plan is intentionally simple. I don't follow through with overly structured systems for managing household tasks, and I know it's likely to fall to the bottom of my to-do list if it isn't amazingly easy. Here are the basic … [Read more...]

Meal Planning Made Easy with The Home Collection – Part 2

May 21 by Kaley

Meal Planning Center - so many clever ideas here, love it!

Kaley's back today with an update on the custom meal planning system she put together with products sent to her by our latest sponsor, Post-it® Brand. Yay for organization! I thought this system was pretty impressive when she first set it up but now that I see it in action, I'm a little blown away. This fridge actually makes me excited about meal planning (one of the things I dread most in this world). My favorite part has to be the spots for snack ideas and an inventory of what's in the … [Read more...]
