POYEL: Free Closet Sorting Printables

February 16 by MJ at Pars Caeli

Free printables: clothing orgainzation labels - keeping the "too big" and "too small" baskets in each of my kids' closets and the donate/consign/keep in our laundry room for easy access.

You guys went so crazy over this idea to get the kids to put away their own clothes, that we came up with another Project Organize Your ENTIRE Life idea aimed at getting the kids (and the hubby) to do even more to get those closets sorted. And, once again, this one comes with a free printable to help you do it! Here's MJ with the details... Maybe it's the new year or the winter snows, but my children are all going through growth spurts right now. Their drawers and closets contain a lot … [Read more...]

Tons of ideas for setting up the ultimate play room

Remember when I teamed up with Jen of the infamous I Heart Organizing for that fabulous FLOR giveaway? And how she used her rug to complete her equally fabulous playroom?  Well... September 27 by Steph (MPMK Founder)

Lot of pretty looks to try at home this fall.

Is it cooling down where you live yet?  Fall is definitely in the air here and with the crisp weather, comes a desire to fully immerse myself in Autumn.  Despite my penchant for DIY projects, I've never been much of a floral arrangement kind of girl (I actually just got my first wreath last Christmas). However, the web has been teeming with bold and beautiful autumn foliage lately.  So much so that I'm inspired to try out a DIY arrangement at home.  In no particluar order, here are my top six … [Read more...]

Fresh Find: Free Printables for Those Bare Walls

March 29 by Steph (MPMK Founder)

I've recently come across not one but two opportunities to get some stellar art up on your walls for free.  Naturally, my very first response was to break out the measuring tape and start plotting think of you.     First up, Jenna of q.a. design has recently decided to close her Etsy shop and is, consequently, offering up ALL of her gorgeous state/country prints free of charge (only a smattering of which are seen above).  Recognize anything familiar?  Jenna is the talented artist … [Read more...]

One look at The Make & Play Vault and you know I'm not one to shy away from a good DIY.  For playtime, for learning, for getting organized, for sprucing up the place and etc.... but how about DIYing for no other reason than to make the kids smile?  Isn't that a lovely thought?  Today I've got a handful of projects which, while they may not revolutionize your life, your little ones will be sure to think are pretty darn special.   I love everything about the space on the top right … [Read more...]

It’s Almost December, Do You Have an Advent Calendar Yet?

November 21 by Steph (MPMK Founder)

December seems to sneak up on me every year, which wouldn't be too worrisome except it means that I never seem to have my advent calendar ready in time.  Actually, to be fair, last year was the first year we decide to do an advent calendar.  But I was late then and I can already sense a pattern forming.  The solution to this problem is a simple one - man up and either buy or make a calendar substantial enough to be used year after year (sadly last year's version just doesn't fit the bill).  Then … [Read more...]
