I'm sure it hasn't escaped your attention that Mother's Day is just around the bend. Whether you're planning to spend it being pampered or going on family adventures, you're likely in need of a good gift or two for your own Mother and Mother-in-Law. 15 Three-Ingredient Easter Treats

March 25 by Steph (MPMK Founder)

Three ingredient Easter dishes - the homemade Reese's Peanut Butter Eggs look amazing!!

As evidenced by my post, Easter Dishes You Can Make With Your Slow Cooker, I like to keep it simple whenever I can and Easter is no exception. We're attending a neighborhood potluck/egg hunt again this year and I've been on the lookout for an easy treat to contribute. That hunt led me to create 3 Ingredient Easter Bark (#1 on the list) and to unearth 14 other ingenious Easter treats that only take three ingredients to whip up. Can you guess which one has candy corn as one of the … [Read more...]

New Year’s Eve Hour-by-Hour Countdown Activity for Kids

December 21 by Kaley

DIY New Year's Eve Countdown - kids punch out a hole for each hour leading up to New Year's Eve. Each hole is filled with fun questions and activities.

I have never attempted to let my daughter stay up until the New Year before. I am actually contemplating it this year, so I am armed and ready with an activity that will keep her entertained through all the hours until the ball drops. I made this fun poster with a little punch out circle for each hour leading up to midnight - kind of like an advent calendar for New Year's Eve. Each hour we have either an interesting question to discuss or an activity to do as a family. This is easy to put … [Read more...]

December 17 by Natalie

Making one or more of these yummy mocktails for our family New Year's celebration this year!

I mentioned last week that this is the first year our family is going to attempt some sort of New Year's Eve celebration with the littles. Actually, a Happy Noon Year celebration may be what's really on the docket.  Regardless of when we do it, one thing is for sure- a tasty non-alcoholic drink (or "mocktail" if you will) is definitely making it onto the menu. Today Natalie is here sharing a few of her easiest tips for quickly whipping up your own signature mocktails... The kids might … [Read more...]

Trader Joe’s Copycat Recipe: Candy Cane Whoopie Pies

December 2 by Kristin

Inspired by Trader Joe's Candy Cane Joe-Joe cookies - this are always a HUGE hit every year.

Every year Trader Joe's gets their holiday products in stock.  They fly off the shelves and quickly as they arrived.  Peppermint is king around the holidays and we love everything from the candy cane tea to the candy cane 'joe-joes'  (Trader Joe's version of an oreo.) We decided to make our own version of the candy cane joe-joe in the form of a whoopie pie. Whoopie pies are basically cakey little cookies with frosting to hold them together.  Like a soft oreo!  Whoopie pies have been around … [Read more...]

November 30 by Alli

Giving this to all my kids' teachers this year!

I love the smell of Christmas. And truth be told, I'm not exactly sure what that smell is. But in my mind...it's part pumpkin, part pine tree, and part cinnamon. Mmmmm. Every year we like to fill our house with holiday aromas. And we're always looking for new ways to do it. This year, our family decided to make our own painted cinnamon pine cones. Not only do they smell fantastic, but they work so beautifully with our natural Christmas theme and they make fantastic gifts. Sure, you can … [Read more...]
