There’s a lot of work that goes into Thanksgiving. We can all relate to the hours of pie prep and casserole making that happen days before and that turkey’s not going to stuff itself.
Even with lots for prep, the big day can be filled with setting the table and getting everything just right.
The thing that makes all this work even more challenging is that children are off school. And usually they aren’t too interested in peeling potatoes for more than 5 minutes.
This year, set them up to make Thanksgiving poppers for the table. They can be handed out after the meal or used as a table setting.
Kids will have a great time decorating them and they can fill them with any assortment of things. I chose a Thanksgiving themed candy and this free Thanksgiving printable.
Here’s what you’ll need:
- Wrapping Paper
- Paper Stuffing
Cut a 5×5 inch square out of the cardstock. Roll it and secure it on one side with tape.
Cut a 5×10 inch piece of wrapping paper. Wrap the cardstock tube and secure with tape.
Gather the wrapping paper on one side and tie with a ribbon.
Trim the ends.
Fill the tube with the Thanksgiving printable, candy and finish with paper stuffing.
Tie the other side with a ribbon and wrap the tube with a doily that you secure with tape.
Center with a sticker.
