I’m always so interested to hear how pro photographers deal with saving their own special memories. So when I found out our contributor (and photographer), Kristin, is a fan of the service Chatbooks, I asked her to write a post on why she loves it.

Years ago, I’d spend hours putting together an album every year for my family photos. It was a time consuming process, but I love being able to sit down and look at an album instead of scrolling through photos on my iphone or computer.
These days, I’m able to easily put together albums on my phone in a matter of minutes. Instead of doing one big yearly album, I make an album every few months. I can even make albums as gifts for family members.
Chatbooks makes the process so simple. And we all know, if it’s simple, we’ll actually do it!
I start out by creating a new album in my iphone. Then, I pick my favorites and add them to the album. I can lighten/darken each photo or edit how I want them to look.
Get the Chatbook app and open up your new album of favorite photos. They are automatically added to your book. From there, you can choose the cover.
You can also add text and a date to each page. Personally, I like my smaller albums to be more like fine art, so I stick with the simple square with a white border and no text.
If you are someone that uses Instagram as a daily journal, you can access your Instagram photos (along with the text and date) and make those into a book. There’s literally no work in these albums, you’re just turning the screen into a page.
The Chatbooks are so affordable, which is another reason it’s so easy to make them. The books start at $8 and they are at home in a matter of days.
