Who remembers Pop Rocks? The snap, crackle, pop candy from when you were a kid is still around!
And it’s the key ingredient in this recipe for firecracker popcorn that actually pops in your mouth. How cool is that?
I love the way the snack comes together visually. When you put it in a cute container, it would be the perfect thing to bring to a 4th of July get together. In fact, I’m pretty sure this dish will totally steal the show.
If you’re having trouble finding this candy from the past, this pack has both red and blue, or try a Party Supply store that stocks candy.
I was able to find an off-brand in a variety of colors at my local Party City. The rest of the ingredients are easy to pick up. You’ll be making Firework Popcorn in no time!

Firework Popcorn
- 4 cups popped popcorn
- 1/2 cup white chocolate chips
- 1/2 Tablespoon vegetable oil
- Pop Rocks candy to taste
- Sprinkles to taste

Instructions:
Melt white chocolate in a microwave safe bowl for 1 minute.
Add the vegetable oil and stir until smooth. Slowly drizzle over popped popcorn.

Add in the candy and sprinkles until it’s evenly mixed.

Let it harden for about 30 minutes and serve.
