Honoring Kids’ Artwork: Part 3 – Hang It Up

February 2 by Steph (MPMK Founder)

Next up in this series is one of the most popular methods of displaying lots of artwork – simply sticking it up along a wall.  It’s cheap, easy to do, and allows for lots of flexibility.  This art space was created by Christie over at Childhood 101 for her daughter’s playroom.  How could anyone not be inspired to create here?  Seriously, just looking at this has me itching to break out the crayons.
Best of all, Christie provided lots of stylish ways to display all of her daughter’s creations.  Head over to Childhood 101 for a detailed list of all the materials used for this wonderful setup.  Then click through for great ways to display kid art in your non-kid spaces.

This example from the style files (spotted at Ohdeedoh) is at the top of my list because it’s a little more modern, allows for lots of big 3D pieces, and anyone can do it with a quick stop to that big blue and yellow house of joy/dread (depending on if you ask me or my husband), IKEA.

I especially like the quote on this art wall from Random Thoughts of a SUPERMOM.

And here it’s done by Martha Stewartusing a strip of cork board (spotted at HowDoesShe?).  What do you think?  Which option suits your space best?
