It’s a historic day today for many reasons, not the least of which is the swearing in of the first woman elected to National Office.
Like many of you, I watched it live this morning with my kids on TV (tears were shed). But in case you haven’t yet, I wanted to let you know that a special inauguration day children’s special covering all the events is available here!
I love that this historic day is being presented in such an accessible way to students all over the country, and the world, and I really hope you check it out!
And if you watch nothing else with your family today, I hope you watch 22-year-old Amanda Gorman (history’s youngest inaugural poet) give her incredibly inspiring address, “The Hill We Climb”!
As soon as she finished her poem, I knew I wanted a copy. Luckily, her debut poetry collection, including “The Hill We Climb” is available for pre-order.
I can’t wait to give this beautiful book a place of honor on our coffee table and I’m tempted to order a copy for every special kid (and adult) in my life!
You can grab your copy here.
