The Cozy Stuff You Should Totally Ask for This Valentine’s Day

January 31 by Steph (MPMK Founder)

Valentine’s Day looks different for everyone. Some folks go all out; dinner, flowers, lingerie… all the things! These days, for me, it’s much more low key. I want nothing more than a quiet night-in spent with my sweetheart and maybe a little something special to take care of myself.

If you’re on board with this plan, I’ve got some especially awesome finds from my favorite purveyor of all things indulgent- Anthropologie.

While I don’t often shop at Anthropologie due to price point, it’s my perfect store for holiday treats. Plus, with a little digging, you can actually find some pretty good deals!

Ready? Here are my recs…

#1 – Project Beauty Hairgurt Yogurt Hair Mask

$10

I don’t know about you, but my hair is SO dry this time of year. An at-home hair mask is on the top of my yummy self-care picks and the reviews of this one are stellar:

I’ve never written a review…

But OMG this stuff is legit. I’m sitting here at my desk and can’t stop touching my hair because it is seriously SO soft and smooth. It even made my color look super radiant and refreshed (even though it is definitely not normally).

I slept with it on last night and then just washed this morning and all I have to say is… WOW. I normally use coconut oil but this stuff just became my new go-to.

#2 – Fireside Faux Fur Throw Blanket

$98

I bought this for myself a few months ago and it’s one of my favorite purchases of all time. Not only is it superbly soft and snuggly, but the weight of it is also ridiculously comforting.

I have a weighted blanket I also love and this has much the same calming effect while looking super chic draped over my couch.

#3 – Bed of Nails Pillow

$40

Is there anything better than a good neck rub?! This pillow promises to deliver lots of soothing tingles and is at the top of my wish list.

From the manufacturer:

For centuries, meditation and healing gurus have used acupuncture principles to stimulate energy within the body. Today, Bed of Nails brings those same concepts to modern-day lifestyles, offering a curated range of products crafted to ease tension, provide a sense of joy, and induce a state of deep relaxation.

Designed to fit perfectly under your head, neck, lumbar, or feet, this pillow features over 2,000 non-toxic, plastic spikes that are harmless to your skin. Each acupressure plate is precisely placed to ensure you’re treated to the self-healing benefits of its acupuncture-inspired technology.

#4 – Pura Home Fragrance Refills, Set of 2

$16

I have this home diffuser and absolutely love it, especially around Christmas time when I use it to fill the house with festive cinnamon and pine smells.

The rest of the year, though, I’m at a bit of a loss on which scents to use to create a cozy home. There are two different sets offered here and they both sound amazingly luxurious.

Plus, they’re only $16 each!!

Set 1

Amber Oud: Golden amber and rich oud blend with fresh fruit notes, with just a hint of dry wood and cozy jasmine.

Pacific Aqua: Sweet, sunny notes of citrus and bergamot meet warming musk, cedar, and amber to create a refreshing oasis.

Set 2

Green Tea Citrus: Effervescent mint, anise, and green tea blended with a citrus spark of eucalyptus and orange flower.

Pink Peony & Silk: The scent of wild peonies and roses, with a sweet touch of silk chiffon.

#5 – Yoga Design Lab Combo Mat

$68

This yoga mat is definitely a splurge but it’s just so freaking pretty!

The joy of just looking at it makes it totally worth the cost in my book. After all, yoga is a great practice for everyone to incorporate into their lives and I find it that much easier to do when I have bright and happy tools like this one to motivate me.

#6 – Aquis Lisse Luxe Hair Turban

$30

As a busy mom of 3, the gift of time is ALWAYS the best kind of gift. Which is why I’m so excited about this fancy hair towel/turban that will not only reduce frizz but also cut hair drying time in half.

This is exactly the kind of item I’d normally find too expensive to buy for myself, though, so it makes a perfect gift to ask for.

Here’s another stellar review:

The best!

This is so great for your hair! I used to dry my hair with a regular towel but it would leave my hair frizzy. I tested this one out and my hair looks like I’ve actually blow dried it.

It’s so easy to use and it’s not too heavy on my head to leave on for when I’m getting dressed or putting on make-up.

#7 – Mini Captri Blue Seastone Jar Candle

$14

One of my favorite winter self-care rituals is taking a long, super hot bath surrounded by a few pretty candles.

These mini jar candles fit the bill perfectly with their lovely aesthetic and yummy scents like Berry Sangria and Mint Truffle.

#8 – Knotted Waffle Top

On Sale $68, Now $39.95

Soft and cozy clothes are my favorite way to treat myself all day long. The over-sized chunky weave of this waffle top looks extra comfy and I love the look of the twist in the front.

Definitely grabbing one while it’s on sale and before it sells out in my size.

#9 – Herbivore Botanicals Coco Rose Luxe Hydration Trio

$39

This set of three luxe hydrating products from Herbivore is such a great deal and just the thing for getting the spa experience at home.

With the crazy, record-breaking cold hitting the country we need to be hydrating all the things (hair, skin and lips) and this pretty set will leave you totally covered. It also makes a gorgeous gift for your mom, sister or bestie.

#10 – The Good Patch, B12 Awake Patch

$12

So, I’m officially giving these to all my mom friends for every birthday from here on out.

Energy in an easy-peasy stick on patch?! Yes, please! I’ll take 3,000 STAT.

#11 – Lano 101 Ointment Rose Gold Lip + Cheek Tint

$17

If you have experience breastfeeding, than you’re likely familiar with the hydrating miracle that is lanolin (seriously, the BEST for cracked nipples). Well guess what- it’s awesome stuff for your face too.

Also, I love me a multifunctional wonder tool I can slip in my purse and the color of this lip and cheek tint is completely gorgeous. I’m all about that “glowing flush” promised by this moisturizing, Australian-made lanolin.
