It’s the perfect handmade toy for baby’s first Easter Basket! I’m putting an MPMK twist on S and C’s Easter baskets this year and this is your sneak peek at what’s to come.
For this project (which I also refer to as the “Which Came First?” toy), I simply printed out Craft Jr.’s Easter chick and egg graphics in a small, medium and large size. Then I traced the shapes onto felt, cut them out and I was done.Super simple but also super perfect for baby.
I gave S a pre-Easter preview of her new toy so we could all see how she liked it.
Joel said the beauty of this toy is that the layers gently stick together due to the nature of the fabric. He was right and that along with the various colors, sizes and shapes of the layers really got the attention of little S.
After several minutes of vigorous play, S spaced out for a bit – still holding tightly to one of the eggs. I think today’s new toy has got her pondering, “what did come first, the chick or the egg??”.
Over the next two weeks I’ll be sharing lots more of S and C’s Easter baskets so be sure to check back often for all the details.
