Friday Share: Make a Memory Library

February 15 by Steph (MPMK Founder)

Happy Friday friends.  Did everyone have a good Valentine’s Day?  Any big plans for the weekend? It’s my dad’s birthday today (Happy birthday Dad!) so we’re loading up the kids and making the two hour drive to see my parents for the weekend.

We don’t do much TV at home but on the road… a total Godsend.  The plan is to eat dinner, zip the kids into their footie PJs, bundle them up with blankies and lovies, put in Brave and sail smoothly down the road.

Before that though, I’ve got lots of good stuff to share plus the question of the day in an extra cool format – please take a second to weigh in, it’ll only help make MPMK better!

I’M SHARING

When I first spotted these duvets my jaw just about hit the ground (thanks Kid Crave for the find!).  I only have one small suggestion: double-sided, two-for-one options.  I would love to give S the option of being a princess one day and an astronaut the next.

YOU’RE SHARING

We wrapped up our first book club selection this week, Buddhism for Parents of Young Children: Becoming a Mindful Parent.  Reader Andrea summed up a lot of my feelings on the book and my own parenting – it’s less about the kids’ actions and more about my responses.

THEY’RE SHARING

my-library-bookplates

There are a plethora of inventive ways to preserve memories but this is BY FAR one of my all-time favorites.  Use these free bookplates from Kate’s Creative Spaces to document what makes your kiddos favorite reads so special.  A little diligence and you’ll have a one-of-a-kind memory library that grows with your little one.

Question of the day

This one’s simple – what was your favorite MPMK post this week?  Click on the photo to vote and tell me why in the comments. Happy weekend!
