Our big reveal is finally here, ta-da! I really couldn’t be happier with the way the site turned out. Along with a sleek new look, one of my top priorities for MPMK 2.0 (as I’m affectionately calling it) was to make it VERY easy to navigate. I really think we accomplished that goal. Today I’m hosting a mini tour to show you what I mean. (If you’re reading this via an RSS feed, be sure to click on over to the new site and follow along.)
Let me first draw your attention to the top of the site (I’m doing a Vana White impression in my head as I write this). There you’ll see a drop-down menu with all sorts of categories and subcategories. From book club posts to gift guides, you can quickly find exactly what you’re looking for here. And the best part, once you click on a category all the relevant posts are displayed in thumbnail form so you can now easily scan everything in a matter of seconds, love that!
Next up are three big, beautiful buttons on the top right sidebar – one for each of MPMK’s special features: Project Organize Your ENTIRE Life, The Make & Play Vault, and MPMK’s Favorite Things. The first two also display all relative posts via thumbnail. What makes them extra special is a handy-dandy submenu at the top for easy sorting.
So if you’re looking for our emergency meal plan, click on the “meal planning” tab at the top of the Project Organize Your ENTIRE Life page. And to find our favorite ways to make memories outside, click on the “outdoor” tab in The Make & Play Vault. To find our recommendations for everything from photography gear to the best toys for young toddlers aged 18 – 24 months, check out MPMK’s Favorite Things.
Last on our tour, scroll down the right sidebar a bit and you’ll see slideshows of our latest stuff in playtime, parenting, and life & home, as well as some reader favs. Don’t forget to check on these regularly for a quick review of what you may have missed. Just click on anything that suits your fancy and you’ll go straight to the post.
