Easter Projects Circa 2011

March 19 by Steph (MPMK Founder)

I can’t believe it’s time to start talking about Easter again!  This was a huge holiday for me last year – in fact I still run into lots of people around the web that know MPMK based solely on the DIY paint chip Easter garland above.  I’ve got some fresh ideas lined up for 2012 but before I delve into all that I thought it would be fun to remind of you of the good stuff still hanging around from last year.

Along with DIY decor, I also tackled some DIY Easter baskets.  My goal was to avoid sugar completely and make every part of the baskets suitable for play instead.  Click here for all the info. on the Creative Play Easter Basket – Baby Edition and click through for the rest of the 2011 goodies.

Of course along with the baby edition of the creative play basket, there was also a bigger kid version.

Even if you don’t have the time to put together an entire creative play Easter basket, you can still easily add one or two of my projects.  This free Easter memory game takes only a minute to print and cut out.  Use it like a standard memory game for older kids.  For younger toddlers, use one of the pages as a playing board and have them match the cut out cards to it.

Finally it doesn’t get much more simple than this handmade baby toy (the post even has links to easy-peasy templates).

I hope these ideas have you excited about once again thinking outside the chocolate bunny box this Easter.  If you have any gift ideas or traditions that have become special to your family, I’d love it if you’d share in the comments below.  I’ll be back later this month with some more inspiration.

P.S. Don’t forget, today’s the last day to enter to win online meal planning for life!
