Guest Posts (Here & There)

To wrap up birthday week, I wanted to highlight some of my favorite guest posts.  As my very first piece for momtastic, this DIY St. Patty’s Day Limerick Hunt technically was a guest post.  At the time, I hadn’t yet been hired as a regular contributing editor…  St. Patrick’s day is only a few months away – I thought you might want to bookmark (or better yet, pin) it.

My “green” Sticky Note To-Do Chart was something I’d been wanting to do for a long time.  So when Kari over at Ucreate invited me to guest post it instantly came to mind.  The project was quick and easy and was one of the top 10 tutorials posted on the site last year (out of 1400!).  Not only was the post great exposure, I also won a $20 gift card – can’t beat that!  You can check out my post as well as Ucreate’s other top 9 here.

My Modern God’s Eye DIY was part of a fabulous summer camp series over at Make & Takes last July.  It was an honor being featured on one of my all-time favorite blogs and a treat to find a new blogging buddy in Marie.

This Printmaking for All Ages: Yarn Block Prints post I wrote for Whip Up was such a hit that the teaser I put up here was my eleventh most popular post of the year!

Finally, I’d be remiss if I ended this guest post wrap-up without including two wonderful series I had the pleasure of hosting here on MPMK.  I learned so much from the Make Like a Montessori Mama and the Learning to Love Reading Book Lists Posts!  A huge THANK YOU to Kylie and Lisa for making them happen. (And an apology to Lisa for being so far behind in getting her last installment published – look for it next week!)

That just about wraps up the big birthday celebration.  Thank you all so much for your support in helping to build such a wonderful MPMK community.  It’s been an amazing year and I can’t wait to see what 2012 will bring!
