For the Easter Basket
I’m a sucker for anything rainbow and adding books to my kiddos’ Easter basket is always a big YES in my book. I actually gave this Roald Dahl collection to my 8-year-old son for Christmas and he absolutely tore through it, having read almost all of the books already. My 6-year-old daughter also started with Matilda and has been begging to read another from the collection soon.)

Two Spring Break Reads for Mom
I know it might be wishful thinking, but I’m truly hoping you guys get just a little reading time for yourself over spring break. If you are so lucky, I have two recommendations:
Make Your Kid a Money Genius (Even If You’re Not)
We all want to raise money-savvy kids, this book will help you actually do it. Written for parents of kids aged 3 to 23, it’s packed full of usable tips to help parents of all income levels teach their kids about money.
It’s about instilling values that have been proven to make people successful—not just financially, but in life: delaying gratification, working hard, living within your means, getting a good education, and acting generously toward others.
More specifically, you’ll learn why allowance isn’t the Holy Grail when teaching your kid to handle money, and why after-school jobs aren’t always the answer either. You’ll discover the right age to give your kid a credit card, and learn why doling out a wad of cash can actually be a good parenting move.
Sound intriguing, right?
Looking for some fiction that will stimulate the non-mommy part of your brain? The Futures was a quick read that I really enjoyed.
Recommended by Elle Canada as, “Wallstreet meets Girls“, I found the story to be compelling and relatable, even for those of us who never went to an ivy league school or planned to make our mark on Manhattan one day.

Yes to Blueberries Foaming Facial Cleanser
Hi, my name is Stephanie and I struggle with adult acne.
I blame it on my kids because it started with the pregnancies but it’s still happening so I’m not sure that’s entirely fair. Nevertheless, I’ve been looking for a gently, less toxic, cleanser for a while now to help with the issue.
When I ran across a beauty post somewhere with a woman that swears by this foaming face wash, I decided to give it a try. So far, I’ve been really happy! I like that it is paraben-free and formulated with a blend of fruit extracts such as blueberries that apparently help fight the signs of aging, plus contains chamomile as a calming herbal extract.
I also love that it’s a foaming face wash because I’m really lazy about washing my face at night and, for some reason, this just seems easier than a gel cleanser.
My hubby has never been much of a product guy. About a year ago, though, he signed himself up for Dollar Shave club and has been raving about their stuff to me ever since.
If you’d like to give your guy a gentle nudge into taking better care of his skin and/or hair, this is apparently the stuff to go with!
