It’s that time of year again…
Time for ghosts, witches, and goblins to make their spooky appearances. Mwah ha ha ha! (That was my best evil laugh, in case you couldn’t tell.)
Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday, because it’s all about creativity. For that reason, it’s also the perfect holiday to do crafts with the family.
This year, we decided to add to our porch decor by making Dry Erase Ghost Votives.
We started with three glass mason jars. Really, any glass jar will do.
We cleaned the jars thoroughly in preparation for painting. Then we added 3 tablespoons of white acrylic paint to the inside.
Once you’ve added your paint, slowly rotate the jar in your hand until the interior is covered entirely. Then pour out any remaining paint.
Wipe the top of the jar clean with a wet cloth, and leave to dry.
It’s that simple.
Once the jars are completely dry, you are ready to create!
Just take a black (or any color) dry erase marker and start making your faces.
They look great by day, and even better by night.
And the best part? You aren’t wed to any design. You get to change them up each and every year.
And when Halloween has passed they make the perfect vases and holiday centerpieces.
Happy Haunting!
